Time for an introduction to the halfling project

“There is nothing like looking, if you want to find something. You certainly usually find something, if you look, but it is not always quite the something you were after.”
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit

When did the halfling project really start?
This actually is a hard one to answer. Was it perhaps when I become involved many years ago in the fight to get dyslexia recognised in schools. Or when working with young runaways finding a link so often to the autistic spectrum or to a general lack of tolerance and understanding towards “being different” in some way.
Perhaps it was the positive role models within The Scouts and that promotion of adventure and an enquiring mind for the young.
Maybe it’s working with so many young talented performers within William David that pushed things forward or the injustice of the justice system in respect to young offenders and mental health.
Ofcourse it might just be I want children to be allowed to be children, enjoy the magic of childhood - and to grow up as happy adults contributing to society.
Well I guess it’s all those things and much more besides…
This is The Halfling Project - Welcome.
